When the meeting attended by Harel Locker, the director-general of the Prime Minister’s Office and heads of the Union of Local Authorities ended on Tuesday evening, January 17th, the Prime Minister’s Office released a statement that an understanding has been reached between the strike to an end. Striking local municipality workers will return to their jobs on Wednesday morning.
The strike lasted for two days, shutting down 255 municipalities around the country, halting trash collection, local government services, parking enforcement and many other services.
