A massive blackout has hit the Main Street / Route 59 area in Monsey; cutting off power from dozens of stores; traffic lights and gas stations, including the Shopper’s Heaven Shopping Center, the Atrium Plaza, and dozens of of other businesses.
The cause of the shortage is unknown at this time. Orange and Rockland do not expect the power to be back up before 4:00PM, Sunday afternoon.
