MDA Returns To Pre-1967 Borders

If you are one of the many around the world who supports Magen David Adom, you should be aware that Israel’s emergency medical service provider has signed an agreement with the International Red Cross which basically halts operating legally over the Green Line, unilaterally deciding it has the right to take such a bold political step on its own, all in the name of earning Red Cross funds.

Heads of the international organization on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 announced the deal has been signed, sealed and delivered, and MDA has signed a document promising not to deliver any care over the Green Line.

YWN-ISRAEL already reported in August 2011 that MDA was removing its red Magen David symbol from ambulances throughout Yehuda and Shomron, preparing for its acceptance into the International Red Cross. MDA have since been double talking and dancing around releasing ambiguous media statements in an effort to defend itself, insisting the change in policy has nothing to do with the deal, which will net MDA $1.5 million annually, undoubtedly a coincidence.

MDA officials insist there will be not compromise in care over the Green Line, adding the inclusion is the international organization is most beneficial.

Settlement Council leader Danny Danon points out that the new agreement also prohibits MDA from delivering care to residents of the eastern capital, which is also views as being under Israeli occupation by the International Red Cross, adding the major benefit is for MDA leaders, who can now take part in IRC cocktail parties around the world.

  1. If the red cross operates in gaza the MDA should operate

in Yehuda and Shomron and the MDA should be able to deliver

care to residents of the eastern part of Jerusalem since

    ALL Jerusalem is ONE city

  2. As an emergency EMS response organization, they have the obligation to give medical help to anyone who calls for it. It’s a very sad and unfortunate state in Israel when they cave in to international pressure. What this means is that they’re “acknowledging” to everyone that Jerusalem and the settlements don’t belong to Israel, which is the worst betrayal.

  3. The Israeli government, along with the American government, considers East Jerusalem and the West Bank to be a “foreign country” – regardless of an Israeli statute to the contrary. The entire goal of zionism from the first day has been to be accepted by the goyim, and if the goyim want to Israel to give up on the West Bank, that’s the price that needs to be paid for being accepted by the goyim.

An interesting question will be whether the MDA trademark extends to East Jerusalem and the West Bank, since one often loses a trademark excluvisity by not doing business in an area. Could a different group set up a “West Bank/Jerusalem” MDA that wouldn’t be affiliated with the ICRC.

  4. How could East Jerusalem and the West Bank be a foreign country if all those residents receive free chupat cholim, bituah leumi, passports and citizen’s papers?

Sounds like typical akuperma anti-Zionist rampage.
