An incident happened on Monday night in the heart of Flatbush, that left two women badly shaken, but thankfully not hurt.
FlatbushScoop.com reports that two Frum women were pushing a baby carriage and taking a walk on Ocean Parkway and Avenue L at 9:30PM, when a vehicle slowly passed by, a window was opened and a gun pointed directly at them. The man calmly pointed the barrel of the gun at them and fired. Thankfully, they were not hit.
The police (from the NYPD’s 66th Precinct) arrived and a report was taken.
Later in the evening, the woman, who happens to be the wife of a Hatzolah member, reached out to NYC Councilman Mike Nelson, who insisted that the police return to the scene. The NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit was sent to the scene as well – for evidence collection. Police recovered two different projectiles – a pellet and a rubber dart.
Councilman Nelson remarked to FlatbushScoop.com that he found it awkward that the officers let the women walk home alone (approximately 12 blocks) despite them being badly shaken. He also questioned why they were not properly questioned by a Detective.

To answer your question:”where is it safe to live”? is any state/city that honors 2nd amendment and allows its citizens concealed carry. If somebody pointed a gun at me trough a window of the moving car, i would blast his brains first with my 40 cal.
Various statistics show that states and cities with allow concealed carry have the lowest crime rates.
Consider themselves lucky it was the 66th precinct and not the 61st. If it happened in the 61st precinct they would still be waiting for the cops to arrive for the first time.
Sounds like a bubbe maiseh, like the “firebombed” cars.
