A firefighter injured battling a fire in Brooklyn last week is in need of blood donations to help him through his surgeries.
Robert Wiedmann was severely burned last Monday in Crown Heights.
He suffered second and third degree burns over 50 percent of his body and will need several operations over the next six to eight weeks.
Wiedmann remains at New York Cornell Medical Center’s Burn Unit and surgeons are said to be in serious need of O-type blood for his operations.
His family is also planning several blood drives to help with his surgeries.
