The Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters located at 770 Eastern parkway has been evacuated due to a suspicious package, Friday morning.

The NYPD was notified a little after 10:00AM, and twitter was alight with the reports moments later.

Minyanim which were ongoing have been continuing outside, and Eastern Parkway has been closed to traffic in both directions.

Numerous emergency vehicles are on the scene, and the NYPD’s Bomb Squad is on the scene investigating.

Further details will be published when they are available to us.

 UPDATE 11:29AM EST: The Bomb Squad has properly ID’d the package, and it has been determined that it is harmless. The street and building have been reopened.
