There have been two serious motorcycle accidents in Flatbush in the past 12 hours, one of them fatal.
The first incident happened on on Sunday evening at Avenue N and East 16th Street, when a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed went through a red light and slammed into a vehicle. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
The second incident happened on Monday morning at Coney Island Avenue and Avenue J. Witnesses state that a police car was attempting to stop the motorcycle but the driver refused and sped away, and struck a vehicle a few blocks away. The biker was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a hospital.
