One must always question the timing factor, especially when one deals with the world’s superpower. America’s Air Force has just accepted delivery of its newest weapon, the 30,000 lbs super bomb, the “bunker buster” as it is known, but officially called the MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator). The 20.5 foot long bomb carries over 5,300 lbs of explosives and is guided by Global Positioning System satellites.
The super bomb is designed to penetrate deep down, to strike chemical and nuclear facilities buried underground. Completing the package is America’s B2 bomber, the stealth bomber capable of delivering the MOP while evading Iranian radar. The B-2 has a shape and skin capable of evading radar. It’s the only US bomber designed to penetrate air defenses such as those believed in use by North Korea and Iran. It’s also the only aircraft currently capable of carrying the new bomb.
While America publically continues to oppose a military strike against Iran, according to all report, the window of opportunity to prevent Iran from going nuclear is rapidly closing.

Need Not hype this up, a date had already been set for the strike and the US has had the MOP ordinance for two months already, relax.
Maybe the IAF can get a good one day ‘rental’ rate on a
few B-2 bombers loaded with MOPs.
Reaction: Relax? Relax?

Unfortunately You gotta be over 25 for most rentals in the US but most IAF pilots are underage.
Over the past year I have read at least two articles in military aviation magazines that discussed why the new bunker-busting bomb may not be the answer in the case of Iran’s nuclear program; the discussions went both to the depth of some of the Iranian targets and to the number of them.
