Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lucy Billings, the Judge who signed an early-morning order temporarily barring cops from keeping protesters and tents out of Zuccotti Park, has been removed from the case and a new Judge is being assigned, according to reports.
Billings’ name has been removed from the list of candidates for the hearing.
Billings spent 25 years as a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Conflict of interest if ACLU is serving as counsel of record for anyone in the case. If she was the judge on call she should have issues a temporary order and then disqualified herself.
Scary to think that the City can remove a Judge that doesn’t agree with them. What about the so called 3 branches of Government?
The unions have her in their pocket. Good thing they removed her. Now let’s get these people off the street and tell them to go occupy a job.
Waddya mean ‘tell me to go occupy a job’? Would YOU hire them? They seem to be anti-authority. Not a good prospect for an emp;oyer.
TO #4: They can always work for the government or the Postal Service!!!
Let them occupy jail cells
Gee, what a surprise. Judge Billings worked for the ACLU. Let them “occupy” her street.
She is UNQUALIFIED!
