Those wishing to have the late Mir rosh yeshiva marry them knew that HaGaon HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel ZT”L asked that the chosson visited a number of days prior to the chupah with the kesuva, to permit the rav to check it over carefully in a relaxed atmosphere to make certain it complied with all Halachic opinions.
According to a report in the weekly BaKehilla, on Tuesday night at 9:30pm, such a visit took place in the rosh yeshiva’s home, after the rav returned from Bnei Brak. The father of a kallah arrived with the kesuva in hand, and the rosh yeshiva looked it over for 15 minutes and then wished him mazel tov ahead of the chasnah in the coming days.
According to the report, it appears this was the rosh yeshiva’s last visitor.
