Friday, 7 Cheshvan, marked 16 years since the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin. MK (Kadima) Avi Dichter, a former head of the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) is calling for the death penalty for Yigal Amir, the convicted assassin, who is serving a life sentence.
Dichter states that the state was correct not to have a death penalty, as well as the decision to make the exception in the case of Adolph Eichmann, who sought to annihilate the Jewish People, but in the case of Yigal Amir, a mistake was made. “Amir murdered Prime Minister Rabin, trying to wipe out democracy”, adding the death penalty would be appropriate in this case.
When asked to comment on the increasing warfare in the south, for former Shin Bet director feels that if a diplomatic solution cannot be reached, then there is no alternative other than taking Gaza over again and eradicating the terrorist infrastructure.

But the Fogel murderers can sip tea.
BTW, where did that sentence, “trying to wipe out democracy”, fly in from?
No way…
Too many questions need to be answered regarding this assassination.
He should have been released with the one thousand Arab terrorists. Where is Israeli democracy. We demand equality. Israeli murderers are no worse than Arab murderers!!
Note: the above is ‘tongue in cheek”
I’ll bet this rosha was the one to pull the trigger.
If there’s no death penalty for Arab terrorists then there can’t be a death penalty for Amir. You either have a death penalty or don’t.
hey what about all those terrorists we just let free i guess they didnt deserve the death penalty…craziness.
for your information. the real “yurtzait” is 12 cheshvan. only in the “democracy of israel” do they go by the english date.
They definitely should have the death penalty… for every arab that kills Jews. For Jews that kill Jews, that is a question that only a gadol baTorah can answer.
#2 you’re right about the questions that need to be answered.
He was head of 4hit bet @ the time, he has skellintons in the cupboard, he wants him dead so the deamons shouldn’t chase him
Agree Watson??
For beating the drum to send a quite possibly innocent to death shows the character of this menuva. On the aza issue, he is likely right.
