The Tel Aviv District Court today, Thursday, 6 Cheshvan, sentenced Dmitri Bugotik, 25, to 69 months imprisonment for his neo-Nazi activities. Dmitri stood at the helm of a neo-Nazi cell that regularly attacked and beat defenseless people, photograph the incident and then upload to the internet.
Most of the members of the neo-Nazi cell have already been convicted, but Bugotik fled the country two days after the case broke and only returned after deportation proceedings were implemented and Interpol was contacted. He returned to Israel at the beginning of the year and pleaded guilty and was convicted in a plea bargain agreement. The crimes of which he was convicted include conspiracy to commit a crime, incitement to racism and possession of racist materials.
Justice Yehudit Amsterdam cited the severity of the charges and the case, including extremely violent and brutal racist attacks against citizens.
The case was broken in September 2007. Since that time, police made numerous arrests, defendants ranging in age between 16 and 21, calling themselves Patrol 36. They targeted drug addicts, homosexuals, persons wearing yarmulkes, and foreigners. Usually, the victims were found in the area of the Tel Aviv central bus station and the Carmel Shuk. The other gang members were sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
