07:10: A total of 11 rockets have been fired into southern Israel during the morning hours including three that landed in Ashdod.
At least three incoming rockets, headed for Ashdod and Beersheva, were intercepted on Sunday morning by the Iron Dome system.
07:38: Two terrorists involved in rocket attacks eliminated in an IAF air strike over Gaza.
** 200,000 students will remain home in southern Israel today. This includes Ben-Gurion University and Sapir College. Schools are closed in Ashdod, Beersheva, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Yavne, Gan Yavne, Ofakim, Netivot, Gadera, Lahavim, Rahat, Be’er Tuvia, Sapir, Yishuvei Gedeirot and Lachish, communities in the Bnei Shimon Regional Council, Yoav, S’dot Negev, Merchavim, Brenner, Chevel Yavne, and Nachal Sorek.
** Islamic Jihad terrorists in Gaza deny any ceasefire with the “Zionist entity”, vowing to continue striking out against the “occupation”. Egypt has released a message that ceasefire efforts have failed.
** IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz visited southern Israel on Sunday morning and has instructed commanders to prepare a number of responses to address the situation and a possible escalation in rocket fire from Gaza.
