Sister of Terror Victim Provides Some Detail Surrounding Attack


Ya’ara Ne’emad, a sister of Yehuda Ne’emad, the victim of a stabbing attack in Yerushalayim on Shabbos afternoon shared some thoughts following the attack.

Ya’ara spoke with Kol Chai Radio on Sunday afternoon, 25 Tishrei, explaining her brother sustained three stab wounds, injuries to his back, lung and liver, but Baruch Hashem, following life-saving surgery, and he has been upgraded from very serious to moderate/stable condition.

Ya’ara added that her brother fought against the terrorist with all his might, stating he simply had no warning. There were no shouts of Ala Akbar or anything else to warn her brother, but fortunately, the friend accompanying Yehuda escaped unharmed. After the attack, he ran about 20 meters before collapsing. The friend ran for assistance, notifying emergency agencies.

Ya’ara calls for continuing to fight for our country, our people, and serving in the IDF, stating the attack mustn’t deter us, but serve as a reminder of just how important it is to do our best, adding such an attack can occur anywhere if a lone terrorist is determined to carry out such an event.

“What remains for us is to daven and believe” and this is most important.

When asked if she sees a connection between the Gilad Shalit prisoner deal, Ya’ara stated “I don’t get into these things. I am here to be at my brother’s side and those who are wiser than I most make decisions regarding prisoner releases.
