During the Tishrei Yomim Tovim season, a record-breaking 1.5 million visitors came to the Kosel, with 750,000 arriving during Sukkos week, the daily HaMevaser reports.

It appears there an increasing number of people wish to be ‘Oleh L’Regel’ [as much as we can today], to make a bracha on the four minim at the Kosel.

This year’s Birkas Kohanim, following the tradition of HaRav HaTzaddik R’ Menachem Mendel Gafner ZT”L attracted over 70,000 mispallalim. It was the 100th major Birkas Kohanim.

The Kotel Heritage Foundation, Israel Police and other agencies all worked in concert to provide a Yomtov atmosphere for the many visitors and mispallalim, seeing to the cleanliness, atmosphere and safety of the Holy Site.
