Shas leader Eli Yishai is meeting at this time, Tuesday night, October 11, 2011, 20:06 IL, with HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita ahead of responding to the cabinet meeting to address a deal for the release of Gilad Shalit.

Based on information available, such a deal will result in the release of about 1,000 terrorists, including hundreds of Hamas terrorists that Israel indicated would not see the light of day.

Yishai is consulting with the Gadol HaDor for guidance as how to vote in the cabinet meeting, also signaling that Shas may add a stipulation towards making approval of such a deal more palatable, the release of many Jews imprisoned  in Israel, “Jewish terrorists:” if you will.
