Baruch Hashem a number of yeshivot in the dati leumi community have taken a positive step during the Aseres Yimei Tshuva, exhibiting a willingness to cooperate towards enhancing tshuva efforts bein adom l’chaveiro, (man and his fellow man).

Yeshivot Har Etzion, Ohr Etzion, HaKotel and Beit El will be taking part in a joint slichos towards sending a clear message to the tzibur, one calling for achdus among different hashkofos. Towards achieving this goal, a special slichos will be held Wednesday night (7 Tishrei) at the Kotel.

The impetus for the slichos came from talmidim of Beit El and Har Etzion, beginning to float the idea a number of months ago. Their suggestion was put forward to the roshei yeshiva, including HaGaon HaRav Aaron Lichtenstein Shlita and HaGaon HaRav Zalman Melamed Shlita. The two roshei yeshiva during recent weeks reached out to others, calling upon them to take part in the effort.

The slichos will be led by HaRav Lichtenstein, HaRav Zalman Baruch Melamed, Rabbi Chaim Druckman, and Rabbi Baruch Vider.
