Seeking to obtain a firsthand look at readiness at Ben-Gurion International Airport, Agudas Yisrael Executive Director Meir Porush visited this week, given a tour and an explanation as to what was done to accommodate the wave of Tishrei travelers, both coming and going to Eretz Yisrael.
As Porush walked around, thousands of travelers were heading to their destinations, including the many heading to Uman, permitting a true glimpse at operations in full swing. R’ Porush also entered planes and spoke with travelers, ascertaining passenger satisfaction regarding security and baggage checks as well as the boarding pass and ticketing processes.
Taking part in the airport visit along with Porush were Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Yossi Deutsch, Elad Deputy Mayor Yisrael Porush, Rabbi Aharon David Davis [who heads the English department of Agudas Yisrael] and officials of the Israel Ports Authority.
