President Barack Obama secretly gave Israel bunker-buster bombs in 2009, according to a new report detailing the increased cooperation between the Israeli military and the U.S.
Just a few months after taking office, Obama authorized the delivery of 55 deep-penetrating bombs to Israel, Newsweek will detail in an article appearing on Monday. Israeli and U.S. officials told Newsweek that Israel first requested the “GBU-28 Hard Target Penetrators” in 2005, but the Bush administration did not okay the deal. Then, in 2007, Pres. George W. Bush told Israel he would order the bombs for the country and release them in 2009 or 2010.
Obama delivered the weapons in 2009, the report says. While Israel had developed the capability to make its own deep-penetrating bombs, officials said, the U.S. sale was less expensive.
Gen. James Cartwright, former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Newsweek although U.S. military officials were fine with the sale, they had concerns about “how the Iranians would perceive it.”
“If we say yes, have we somehow given someone a green light without intending to? Whether that green light was an Israeli green light to go do something or whether it was a message to the Iranians, OK these guys aren’t serious about talking, they are starting to arm themselves,” Cartwright told the magazine.
Military experts have said the bunker-busters could be used to destroy heavily protected Iranian nuclear facilities deep underground.
The article will include additional information on the U.S.’s covert efforts to assist the Israeli military. U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman (D-N.J.) told the magazine that Obama issued “orders to the military to ratchet up the cooperation at every level with Israel.”

Of course its impossible to know how true this info is and what the intentions involved were but the timing of the top security info leak is most interesting indeed.
I don’t understand this whole reversing Obama’s image thing, every 2nd headline is about how good Obama is for the Jews, I’m not saying he isn’t, but what happened suddenly?!
Obama gave it or Congress gave it? Was it part of an old aid package?
In comparison, if a person is nebach mechalel Shabbos 50 times over shabbos, even if he happens to do the right thing & ‘keeps’ shabbos for a few minutes, he is still nebach a mechalel shabbos.

The info here about what the U.S. “did for Israel” are all things relating to the global threat posed by Iran.
As far destroying the homes and lives of THOUSANDS of Jews living in Israel’s heartland, INCLUDING Jerusalem – which the U.S. still does not recognize as part of Israel, the U.S. is all for it.
The murder of Jews throughout Israel from rockets, roadside bombs, drive-by shootings, etc. CAUSED BY the foolish policies of the current Israeli government AS DICTATED BY OBAMA, well… that’s part of the price Israel is expected to happily pay for those bunker-buster bombs

He gives the Israelis a candy (special bombs) in order to sugar-coat his demands for the suicidal concessions to the Arabs. Smart.
Is there a Chiyuv of Emuna that everything he does is to destroy Israel? Yes, we know that he was a pro-Palastinian activist. However, now he is president and he learned certain things on the job. When YWN put up an article about how Obama’s efforts saved Israeli lives, many comments found it an affront to their Emuna, and found it an appropriate time to bash him once again.
Obviously, he didn’t change his view of region. But, you don’t have to explain away anything good he does.
All the “great things” that oybama did for Israel. Just vote for him for another term. Oybama is finish; he lying does not help in. He is totally incompetent
