In response to remarks made by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu regarding the resumption of negotiations between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority), Jordan’s King Abdullah says leaders are “Sticking their heads in the sand”.
Speaking with the Wall Street Journal from New York City, the Jordanian monarch blames Israel for growing regional instability, citing Jerusalem’s unwillingness to exhibit flexibility in talks. He also blames Syria for contributing significantly to regional concerns.
He explained that while Israel’s prime minister makes statements, the statements simply don’t reflect what is actually taking place, calling the relationship between Israel and the PA today “unhealthy”.
