Candidates supported by the Orthodox/Hasidic communities in Rockland County handily won their respective primary. Following are the results:
For County Sheriff: Lou Falco won 10,069 votes versus 7,285 votes for Tim O’Neill.
For County Family Court Judge: Sherri Eisenpress won 8,163 votes versus 5,830 for Karen Riley, and 2,016 for Ed Kallen.
For County Legislator (in Spring Valley area): Aron B. Wieder received 394 votes versus 312 votes for incumbent Jacques Michel and 178 votes for Joseph Desmaret.
Town of Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence received 6,098 votes versus 3,761 votes for “Preserve Ramapo” movement leader Robert Rhodes. Christopher St. Lawrence’s Town Council members also won their respective Primaries.
The County level candidates appear to be flying to a win in November. However the Town of Ramapo seats will still be contest by Mr. Rhodes and his team through the Preserve Ramapo party line.

B”H the anti-semites are defeated again and again, and St. LAWRENCE keeps winning over and over. Go Monsey!
Just more proof that democracy does not exist in Ramapo. Block voting is nothing more then communism!
@Torahtotty:
B”H. You’re absolutely right, and in this case, it’s a good thing. Chris St. Lawrence has been wonderful for the frum community, and BH he will continue to be in a position to do so. If this is what communism is, let’s keep it that way for Ramapo.
Democracy gives voters the inalienable right to vote as a bloc to empower themselves.
Anyone who doesn’t like that should apply for a VISA to North Korea.
