For the residents of the Shomron community of Migron, in the Benjamin Regional Council District, it was a night of pain and destruction. An extremely large number of police commando forces arrived in the community to carry out demolition orders for three homes in the community, buildings that were home to three families. The homes have been slated for destruction for some time, but the matter was placed on hold as an urgent petition was filed with the High Court of Justice, leading to Justice Neil Hendel issuing an injunction freezing the demolition pending additional hearings. Later on during the night military commander was instructed to move ahead with the demolitions, explaining the state had the orders reversed. The bulldozers began working shortly after 4:00am.
Police were well prepared for the operation, shutting area roads to civilians and the media alike. No press was permitted in the community during the actual demolitions. The families were compelled to awaken in the middle of the night and remove their belongings, only to then stand and watch their homes being destroyed.
The move resulted in across-the-board condemnations from right-wing elected officials and leaders, vowing the actions in Migron mark “the beginning of the end of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s political career”. MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari accused the prime minister of seeking to deflect attention, realizing he is under mounting criticism for his failing social policies, opting to deflect attention to the settlers.
There was a confrontation between some of the residents and security forces. Police report the tires of at least one vehicle were slashed. A number of people were injured and arrested were made.
Residents of Migron accuse police of using unjustifiable force during the operation. Settlement leaders decried the actions of the IDF and police, moving in under the cover of darkness and evicting families from their homes without sufficient time to tend to their life’s possessions. Right-wing elected officials added the timing of the operation was quite in line with the Netanyahu administration.

By now everyone knows that Jews can’t leave in Israel. Why don’t all Jews move do a different country ? No other country is doing this to there own citizens. Get out from before it is too late.
Beware all those living over the 1967 ‘green line’,, you could wake up in Gilo, Sanhedria Murchavet, Beitar, Efrat, Kiryat Sefer, Emanuel, karnei shomron, french hill, one morning with half a house, porch or garage destroyed..
The government and its many parties (frum parties included) need to publicly announce, “Eretz Yisroel” is our biblical and present-day homeland.. Goodbye and goodluck to make believe partners-in-piece, democratic regimes in the Middle East and saccharin promises.
Horrible, no other words
Yes, bklynmom you are unfortunately correct.
Add to the list all those “projects” which include homes of many of our close ones who bought into these because of the high prices in such as Bnei Brak or Jerusalem.
The Belzer Rebbe Shlita did not let his chassidim buy into any of these projects. No we are not Belz, we have alot of family who purchased into these projects and are still paying mortgage monthly.
It’s not nice to write, but my son in Jerusalem for 10+ years and thinking of returning to U.S. tells me, “Mommy, not only will you have to make room for me, but for the whole extended family too”. What a shame and tragedy!!
Don’t they know yet if they knock down Jewish houses and kick them out they can end up to be a vegetable like what’s his name Sharon? Shame on them!
Who needs outside enemies when we have the Kapo right here in Israel. I would like to believe that those that destroy Jewish homes are nothing more then descendants of the Erev Rav the human trash the Moshe allowed to join us in the desert and not direct descendants of our fore Fathers.
