Motorists are seeing sharply higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.56, up 7 cents from last week. That’s also much higher than it was a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.51.
Meanwhile, the national average price rose for the first time in four weeks, going up 6 cents to $3.65. That’s also much higher than the national average from a year ago, which was $2.68.
The rising pump prices come as roughly 27.3 million Americans — including 828,000 New Jersey residents — take to the roads for the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Stop complaining here in Chicago, gas prices are over $4 and in Israel they are over $8 per gallon of gas
If you get out of the city though, you can find less than 4.00. And if you can get out of Cook County, its in the 3.70s!
