A torrential rainstorm couldn’t put a damper on the excitement when Rav Matisyahu and Rebbetzin Solomon arrived for their fourth annual visit to Camp HASC this past Monday. On the last day of camp, with the gym filled to capacity, hundreds of campers and staff members greeted the Lakewood Mashgiach shlit”a with great enthusiasm and simcha.
The inspiring visit was facilitated by Reb Abe Eisner, noted Askan and a member of HASC’s Board of Directors. The emotional scene was heartwarming, as the Mashgiach and Rebbetzin lovingly greeted innumerable campers and staff members individually.

I guess the folks at Gan Yisroel think otherwise?
The Mashgiach and his Rebbetzin are amazing! They were in England over Shabbos so they must have travelled back on Sunday and, despite the airlag, came to camp the day after!
May they be healthy and well and lead us all to greet Moshiach Tzikkeinu Bekarov
I’m pretty much a cynic for most things, but the Mashgiach’s statement that Moshiac will come to HASC first brought tears to my eyes. It’s been a while since I’ve heard such beautiful Rabbinic optimism. Funny how a just a few words can effect such a turnaround. The Mashgiach’s words were nothing but love.
With all due respect to the Mashgiach, shlit”a, I would like to point out that in an address to the (mostly American) Olim who founded Moshav Matityahu (circa 1983), HaRav HaGaon Mordechai Gifter, zt”l, assured them — as a reward for their Emunas Hashem and making Aliya — as follows:
“You’re going to be the first in line – it won’t be taking long anymore – when Moshiach comes into Eretz Yisroel. He’s going to be coming down from the north, from Teveriya, Chazal tell us. YOU’RE GOING TO BE THE FIRST IN LINE TO MEET HIM. You should be envied by those who understand what that privilege means, to be in the Kabbalos Happonim Committee of Moshiach Tzidkaynu.”
Maybe the Mashgiach meant that HASC will be Moshiach’s “first stop” when he eventually leaves Eretz Yisrael to make his rounds in chutz l’Aretz.” 😉
if you knew who these special NESHAMOS OF THESE SPECIAL CHILDREN REALLY WERE you would stand up for them whenever you saw any of them.
