Associated Press Picks Up On YeshivaWorld Story

The AP wire is now reporting the story which was published two weeks ago HERE on YW – about the State Trooper who climbed into a garbage bin and retrieved a Montreal woman’s diamond ring. YW has received word from Albany, that more than 700 emails thanking the Trooper have been received – due to YW posting the story and email address. All those who wish to thank Trooper Leston Sheely – and make a tremendous Kiddush Hashem – can do so by emailing [email protected]

  1. What a kiddush Hashem. You are doing a great job at this site. When I read that over 700 emails went out, I started to think that maybe we should trying doing something similiar to free Jonathan Pollard. So many people read this site everyday. If you post (and let it stay) the phone number and email address, I can’t even imagine how many calls that would bring in. Let’s do what we can! What do you think?

  2. to find the AP article: Google
“Trooper Leston Sheeley” please notice correct spelling of last name.
You can find the article in google news

  3. that shows you how much more up to date yeshiva world is!! AP is first publishing the story weeks later. Keep up the great work.

  5. Hamodia? Suuuuuuure!

They took the story from Yeshivaworld too! They failed to mention where the story came from – just like the AP did. It’s a clear fact that YW had this the morning after the incident occured.

    YW – rock on!!!!!!!!!!

  6. flatbusher-As it says in the update above, “these 700 emails were due to YW posting the story and email address”. My point was that if 700 emails were sent bec they saw it here, then why can’t we get that number (700) to send emails and phonecalls to free Pollard?
    You think I’m crazy?

  7. Regarding J. Pollard: rather than everyone badgering the White House, why not show some Hakoras Hatov to President Bush for all the good he’s done for us? I suggest that we all write letters thanking him with NO mention of Mr. Pollard, just sincere gratitude; try to eliminate Mr. P. from your mind when you write. When his term ends, the President is allowed to release anyone, and then the time would be ripe for us to request Mr. Pollard’s release.

  8. flatbusher – you’re right – don’t take advantage of technology to potentially save lives – how silly of me to think otherwise — NOT
