His attorney, Pierre Bazile, said Aron hears voices and has hallucinations. A psychiatric exam was ordered.
He will be going to trial July 28 and he has been placed on suicide watch.

Thank goodness at least he is not wearing a kippah. And so far there havent been any pictures produced with him wearing it either, I havce only seen hats thus far.
July 28 is next court date, but not the trial.
my biggest fear: he did such a sloppy job. there are hundreds of potential first time murderers out there who who are laughing at him thinking they can do a better job than him and get away with it. only a very extreme punishment for this guy will (possibly)deter them . lets hope the system can deliver.
praise to the NYPD for getting to the bottom of this so quickly. if we were in orlando it looks like it would have taken months, by then too late to keep him even a few days in jail.
If he is both mentally ill (crazy) and mentally handicapped (retarded) as some of the press accounts suggest, his criminal liability might be somewhat reduced.
If his decision to appear in court without a yarmulke was out of desire to avoid further embarrassing the frum community, that would be a kiddush ha-Shem.

i don’t feel bad for her , she is just doing her job . what about all the other people who commit other heinous crimes , she has to look at them to . the difference here , is that this strikes close to home and deep down that is why you are making your comment.
Dear Judge excepting an insanity plea, that the defendant is unable to stand trail, will inflame the already volatile emotions of the Jewish community at large. There will be great big riots for such an injustice. Please see to it that this murderer stands trial and gets his justice

We will never understand this person and many will conclude that he is crazy in some way. But, I think he knew what he was doing and did this with his free will. He is in a class with Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dohmer, and other infamous killers. I never would have believed that we would have such an evil person among us. This makes me sick to the stomach. I would like to hear some recommendations from our gedolim on how as a klall should respond to this.
