For the first time – starting in November, the University of Wisconsin will offer full kosher dining as part of its regular food service plan. Paul Evans, director of UW-Madison’s Housing, said “There are a large number of Jewish students who come to this campus and certainly there are those who want to be very strict with their dietary laws or would like to do that the best they can, ” Evans said. “In the past, they were really very limited. ”
There are an estimated 5,000 Jewish students on the UW-Madison campus, according to Greg Steinberger, executive director of UW Hillel. While not all of them comply with kosher dining laws, the new offerings at will provide them with a convenient opportunity to comply that didn’t exist before.

If you travel a lot it is good to keep in mind that sometimes their is kosher food to be had at universities. Many times the kosher cafeterias are open to the public and serve a good hot meal at a very good price. I have actually been to Madison pretty little town.
There has been a kiruv center in the U of W, in Madison successfully operating for the last few years.
