Four days after telling the world he was resigning from Congress, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) made it official in a letter Monday to officials in Albany and Washington.
House Speaker John Boehner, along with Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Monday received a copy of Weiner’s resignation letter, which was also submitted to the New York secretary of state’s office, as well as Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
The letter was short and direct: “I hereby resign as a member of the House of Representatives for New York’s Ninth Congressional District, effective at midnight, June 21, 1011. It has been an honor to serve the people of Queens and Brooklyn.”
Weiner and his wife, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, were last seen at a Long Island supermarket en route to the Hamptons. His spokesman told the New York Post Sunday that Weiner’s office is open for business.
Upon Weiner’s resignation, the House clerk’s office will assume responsibilities for running his office.

According to the text of the letter you posted, Weiner resigned 1000 years ago.
@working – Good catch. Weiner must have had his mind on something else, maybe the fact that his wife has relatvies associated with the Muslim Bros.
