82-year-old Josid Zarkin Z”L of Brooklyn – who was struck by a car on Route 55 in the Catskills this afternoon – was R”L just pronounced dead at Westchester Trauma Center, according to a spokesman for the Misaskim Organization. Rabbi Bernard Freilich has informed Yeshivaworld that after striking the victim, the car fled the scene of the accident. The Undersheriff in Sullivan County – Eric J. Chaboty – has confirmed to YW that the suspect has been arrested and will be arraigned in the town of Bethel Court tomorrow.
