A 250-year-old Sefer Torah from Krakow was brought to Eretz Yisroel on Tuesday from New York. Kevin Schreiber, one 200 on an aliyah flight brought the Torah with him. He told the JTA that the Sefer Torah was hidden during World War II in an ancient Shul, and was found in 1998.

C’mon YW editor, tell the whole story. A huge group of Jews already over 3000 for this year have arrived in Israel via Nefesh BNefesh, and on Tuesday Dr. Schreiber who is making aliyah with his wife and 3 kinderlach brought with him this sefer torah from Krakow to a new home in Eretz Yisroel.
