Real estate mogul Donald Trump said Wednesday that questions over whether President Obama was born in the United States are legitimate, claiming, “There’s something on that birth certificate that he doesn’t like.”
Echoing the sentiments of so-called “birthers” during an interview on ABC’s “The View,” Trump demanded, “I want him to show his birth certificate.”
“Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate?” Trump asked. “I wish he would, because I think it’s a terrible pale that’s hanging over him.”
The real estate mogul, who’s considering a bid for the GOP presidential nomination next year, went on to question why there are so few photographs of Obama’s early life.
“If you go back to my first grade, my kindergarten, people remember me,” Trump said. “Nobody remembers him.”

Obamas mom was married to Barack’s father February 2, 1961 according to Hawaiin Divorce Court records. Therefore for the conspiracy to work…. Obama’s mother would have needed to leave the country within 6 months ( since his birthday on record is 6 mths later after the marriage) and then his mom had to return to the country undetected, and his mom had to plan to get the media to conspire in this by printing a report in the newspaper of the birth. Now the governor of Hawaii ( Abercrombie) needs to be in on the conspiracy along with everyone who had anything to do with the birth records. Now why would this have been done? Only one reason: all the plotters of the conspiracy must have known that the baby would be only a naturalized citizen and that wouldnt be good enough 35 years later if the baby wanted to become president. ( * since the mom was American and anyone born to an American is automatically American no matter where you are born, then being physically born in Hawaii only matters to someone wanting the baby to be president or VP )
Furthermore not one reporter or not one of the 19 intelligence agencies of the United States nor any of the intelligence agencies of over 100 other countries on this planet could find evidence of his mother having left the country between her marriage and obamas birth, nor find any evidence of the return of the mother to the United States after his birth. Not one government official of Hawaii could ever question the birth records.
As Mike Huckabee pointed out, Obama must’ve been born in the United States or else the Clintons would’ve uncovered it and unleashed it against him. Nevertheless, it’s mind boggling how a United States Presidents can get away with it. I mean, the questions linger and just become bigger as the controversy grows. Why couldn’t the Hawaii Gov. produce it after he promised he would? What’s the reason for all the contradictory statements? And why does Obama spend all this money to defend himself instead of just showing it?
Had it been George W. Bush or Sarah Palin, the media would’ve had a field day. Actually, John McCain, himself an American hero who was born in a US naval air station in Panama Canal Zone while his parents fought for this country, had to prove his eligibility to serve as US president. As Sarah Palin recently declared: we ought to stop whining the liberal press, we just have to work harder and produce better.
Yet, I still believe that the “Birther” issue shouldn’t be the platform to run against Barack Obama – his policies should. When you run against a popular president with sky-high approval ratings, you need to create controversies. President Obama has a record that he has to defend (unlike 2008 where he had a history of “present”); he must defend his unpopular agenda and disastrous foreign policy. A Republican nominee ought to do that and draw a difference between himself and the status quo and the President.

President Obama released his birth certificate in June 2008. You can easily find it on the internet. It has more information than does my own birth certificate from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The former governor of Hawaii, a Jewish Republican, vouched for the accuracy of the Obama birth certificate. The current governor knew President Obama’s parents before they were married. There is no evidence that President Obama’s mother ever left the US prior to his birth.
And in any case, President Obama would be a natural born US Citizen because his mother was unquestionably a US Citizen at the time of his birth.

putting a picture of a birth certificate online is NOT “releasing it.” When I tried to change my last name on my social security card with a copy of my marriage certificate the guy at SS LAUGHED at me… but the PRESIDENT can just put his birth certificate online? If he ever did have it actually looked at by anyone who’s honest and has authority I’ve never heard about it.
As for him being Jewish, that would be a ridiculous reason to hide his birth certificate– there’s nothing Obama would like more than the Jews thinking he’s Jewish, the Muslims thinking he’s Muslim, and the Xians thinking he’s Xian. There is no requirement for a US Presidential candidate to show his parent’s marriage certificate. There is a Constitutional requirement for a US Presidential candidate to prove his “Natural born”, US Citizenship.

The US Constitution requires that one can become President of this country ONLY if he or she is a “Natural Born” citizen, ie. Born in the US.

The grandfather provision of the “natural born Citizen” clause provided an exception to the “natural born” requirement for those persons who were citizens at the time of the adoption of the Constitution. (The first several Presidents prior to Martin van Buren as well as potential Presidential candidates such as Alexander Hamilton were born as British subjects in British America before the American Revolution and this grandfather clause would cover them.)
Also, if you think that Time Magazine is anything more than entertainment and not a left-slanted newsrag then I understand your lack of knowledge of worldly affairs.

Later, she obtained a Certificate of Live Birth (also available on the net) in Hawaii.

No hospital in Hawaii (I think there are two) has a record of his birth.
Our grandchildren are going to ask us how we could allow such a person to proceed to the presidency.

Charlie I have no idea what you are referring to when you say that more domestic drilling will cost more money, if you are referring to fracking that is totally false. If you are referring to the oil sands it is only economically sustainable above prices of $70 a barrel, which is far lower than the current price of 105. Also if more drilling was allowed of nat gas in both Canada and America more homes could be heated using nat gas instead of oil. So your comments make absolutely no sense. You think that no one in the audience knows anything about commodities and you will be able to get away with your lies. Sorry 🙂

You DO have to be born in the USA or USA Territory as John McCain was born (on August 29, 1936) at Coco Solo Naval Air Station in the Panama Canal Zone. At that time, the Panama Canal was also under U.S. control.
Obama NEVER released his Birth Certificate. He released a Certificate of Live Birth which is a document one can obtain years after birth with scant information.

The reason that this issue is so important is because we have allowed someone to lead us who is, according to the rules of this country, not qualified to do so.
Not only are most of his policies anti-American but according to our Constitution he should not have been able to run for President.
When we start neglecting our own laws and breaking our own rules then everything we built in 200+ years will begin to unravel. I don’t want to see this great country become part of the “EU” or a banana republic or a socialist country.
