Is a bold move President Bush pardoned former aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby Monday, sparing him from a 2 1/2-year prison term in the CIA leak case. Bush left intact a $250,000 fine and two years probation for Libby.
Bush’s move came hours after a federal appeals panel ruled Libby could not delay his prison term in the CIA leak case. That decision put the pressure on the president, who had been sidestepping calls by Libby’s allies to pardon the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney.

Hopefully one day Jonathan Pollard will have justice. This news, though, doesn’t bring us any closer to that day.
NO COMPARISON TO EVEN BEGIN WITH, YOU SHOULD REALLY CHANGE THE TITLE. If you still think its a proper heading for this news, then i’ll be happy to answer you. NOT A CHANCE (based on this news). Of course there’s still hope for Pollard but don’t mix apples and oranges.
It was a commuting of sentence not pardon. There still remains a felony conviction “like others we know”
The President commuted his sentence because he was sentenced for things he wasnt charged for!
If, and only if (and I hope it happens earlier) he is pardoned, it would happen as President leaves office much as in the way President Clinton did when he left office. Or any other president.
it’s about time
we must not stop to call the wite house.
atend ralies,etc…
it a mitzva wich doesn’t happent to often so “chap arain” and it tremendous mitsva….
Courage.
Let all the liberals yell & scream.
That is what the President did today. And he can, and I have hope will, do so for Pollard before he leaves office.
In fact that is the best chance Pollard has. Between Election ’08 and Jan. 20, ’09.
If we’re lucky maybe maybe Jack Abramaoff.
Pollard may be one step too far, sadly.
GDWILLING, with the burning BUSH the pardon will come. Let us all help to make it happen: call, write, daven, & some more.
