Lakewood PD told the Asbury Park Press that they arrested Anthony Martinez (19) at around 12:00AM in the parking lot of Yeshiva Toras Chaim & charged him with possession of drugs, possession with intent to distribute, possession in school zone, and obstruction. He was also issued summonses for motor vehicle violations.
A police officer saw Martinez drive away from County Line Road after a reported fight in the area, & when Martinez saw the police car, he took evasive action, then turned off his lights and pulled into the parking lot of the Yeshiva Torah Chaim School on Ridge Avenue.
The officer saw Martinez moving around in the vehicle, and then drop items outside the car.
Police seized 22 grams of suspected cocaine, along with two packets of suspected heroin, some suspected marijuana and pills believed to be Xanax, said Clarke.

with all due respect,your headline is misleading.
His being in the yeshive parking lot, is just by happenstance and largely incidental.
The criminal had no intentions to do anything to the yeshivah.It just was a seemingly good hiding place for the moment;any other such place would have been equally chosen by him. He was not intending any harm to the yeshivah or the students. But,good that another druggie is off the street.
i thought parking lots of yeshivas were for smoking cigarettes

i’ve read the headline and the article now several times. to the best of my ability it appears as if a drug dealer was arrested in a Yeshiva parking lot. why he was there or more appropriately why he was there is in the body of the article. I am at a loss as to all the comments re: the headline
It is Yeshiva World News only because it happened in a Yeshiva parking lot.
I have a different problem: When writing about Lakewood, “Yeshiva parking lot” is BMG. It should have said “A Yeshiva parking lot”.
Keep up the good work. (Hint: The less we see of the articles the more people will attack the headlines).
