President Barack Obama has reached outside his West Wing bubble — but well inside his Chicago comfort zone — to tap moderate former Clinton Commerce Secretary Bill Daley as his chief of staff, a move that will delight the business community but rankle liberals who see Daley as too conservative.
Daley, a 62-year-old bank executive, will replace interim chief of staff Pete Rouse, who will be elevated to the position of counselor to the president, completing a succession process that began when Obama’s first chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, stepped down to run for mayor of Chicago — hoping to replace Daley’s older brother, Richard.
The president met with Daley late Wednesday, but apparently didn’t offer him the job until later. He informed his staff at 10:30 this morning that Daley will take over in several weeks.

Daley was a board member for Fannie Mae (his son was a former lobbyist for Fannie). I do not know if that makes him moderate, liberal or conservative but he sure as anything is corrupt.
Of course no one Obama appoints can be nearly as bad as Napolitano.
