Rav Moshe Adler ZATZAL from Eretz Yisroel was R”L Niftar from critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle early Wednesday evening. The accident occurred at approximately 7:45PM, on Avenue J near East 9th Street.
Sources tell us that the he had just exited a city bus, and was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle.
Flatbush Hatzolah was dispatched to the scene, as well as the FDNY and NYPD. he was transported to Lutheran Trauma Center with serious head injuries.
Unfortunately, he was Niftar late Wednesday night.
UPDATE: Rav Moshe Adler ZATZAL, know as the Torda Rav from Yerushalyaim, was a Belzer Chosid who in his younger years was a melamed in the Belzer Talmud Torah in Yerushalyim, and later was the Masghiach in the yeshiva. He has been the Rosh Kollel of Shaareo Tziyon for many years.
His father was Rav Yosef Adler ZATZAL the Torda Rav who lived in Shikun Harabunim in Rommema Yerushalyaim – who was from the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah.
He leaves a large Mishpacha of children, grand children, and many great-grandchildren.

R Adler was a real tzadik he was just visiting from Ey. May his family and clal yisroel only hear bishuros tovos.

The Levayh will be today 2PM at Belzer Shul 50 St. And 15th Ave. And than flown to Israel.
It is scary to see how some people are afraid to go to Eretz Yisroel because they claim it is dangerous, and this Yid came from Eretz Yisroel to the U.S. and got killed here R”L.

He was indeed a fine person. When I visited the old Belzer
Rebbe ZTL in 1953/4/5 he was one of the two bachurim who were meshamish him. He appears in a well known photo
standing behind the Rebber holding his chair.
He was in my UK hometown only a few weeks ago on his regular annual visit
This person was involved in a major, major accident a year ago and finally recovered.

He was such a sweet person. He always went round with a smile and a good word to everyone. He had a tremendous Hadras Ponim which one couldn’t forget.
I also remember his father coming here. He looked like a Malach.
