An IDF soldier was R”L killed late Monday night when the army jeep he was travelling in (on Rout 99) swerved into on-coming traffic – for an unknown reason – and crashed head-on into a mini-van. Both vehicles exploded into flames. The critically injured soldier was transported to Rambam hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other soldiers were hurt, as well as two passengers from the other vehicle. (With reporting by Haaretz)
