Yeshiva Bochrim Mugged at Gunpoint in Waterbury


armed gun.jpgTwo Yeshiva Bochrim in Waterbury, Connecticut were mugged at gunpoint on Friday night, but miraculously the muggers left them alone. The Bochrim were mugged while walking on Columbia Boulevard when two armed men approached them and asked for their money. They responded that Jews do not carry money on Shabbos. Boruch Hashem, they believed them and ran away.

  1. I don’t think this is one of the 4 situations for which you bench goymil, but maybe they should bench without shem and malchis. I would ask a rov.

    But 3 situations where you might bentch a goy are a king, a very intellegent non-Jew and a very strange looking creature.

  3. The story u have is wrong. It happenend to my roommate and u should get ur facts straight before u post something. Just bec. u have someone telling u all these stuff it would be nice to confirm it with people who it happend to.

  6. this has happened many times over the years. in fact, it may be a good idea to say you dont have $$$ even if you do, but thats another story.

    like i mentioned in another post, r meir kahane hy”d advocated carrying a (licensed) gun on shabat for protection in such cases.
