It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of HaRav Shimon Gershon Rosenberg (Rav Shagar) ZATZAL, Rosh HaYeshiva of Yeshivat Siach Yitzchak in Efrat after a long illness. His levaya is scheduled for 3:00 today on Har HaZeisim. May he be a melitz yosher for Klal Yisrael, and may his family and many talmidim know no more sorrow.

Baruch dayan haemes
I went to Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh with Rav Shagar and even then we thought his name was Shagar. He was the best bochur in the yeshiva and the best chayal. Yehai Zichrono Baruch.
How old was he???
He was 58 years old.
