According to UKTV, a leading official has revealed that Vatican documents prove that the Pope saved Jews from the Nazis during World War II. The report claims that the Vatican attempted to recruit Jews in Rome as guards in a bid to save them from the Nazis.
Vatican secretary of state Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone has revealed that there are thousands of unpublished documents in the Vatican archives that show the various ways in which Pope Pius XII worked to help Jewish people discreetly, using church resources to save lives.
The papacy has been severely criticised for its perceived inaction against Nazi treatment of Jews during the Second World War and officials are working hard to provide evidence that the Vatican did not turn a blind eye to events in Europe.

Did they confuse prove with fabricate?
Why didn’t they release the evidence long ago?
They are publicizing this now because the Vatican just beatified Pius XII. They are trying to give legitimacy to themselves. Of course if they opened up their archives that would give them legitimacy. Or are they scared that the world would see them for what they are.
