Last evening, Bibi Netenyahu met with Hagon Chacham Ovadia Yosef Shlita at his home in Har Nof. It is being reported that the reason for the meeting was for Netenyahu to personally ask the Chacham to please place Shas support behind Reuvein Rivlin for president. Rivlin himself has met with Chacham Ovadia three weeks ago (HERE). It is interesting to note, that Shimon Peres also met with Chacham Ovadia on April 8 (HERE) to ask Shas to put their backing behind his run for the presidency.
