According to a report by Arutz 7, Defense Minister Amir Peretz has canceled an order by Major-General Elazar Stern to prevent Hesder yeshiva students from continuing to serve in two elite army units (as reported HERE on YW). Stern, head of IDF Human resources, explained last month that the students would be excluded from the paratrooper and Golani units because they did not agree to serve with non-religious soldiers instead of separate units for observant Jews.
