This is the astonishing moment a book was apparently hurled at the head of U.S. President Barack Obama during a campaign rally in Philadelphia.
The flying missile narrowly missed hitting the President yesterday.
It is not clear what the book was, where it came from in the crowd, or why it was thrown at Mr Obama – who did not appear to notice the danger.
But it is expected that there will be fallout from the security breach as the Secret Service investigates how close the President came to danger.
The bizarre incident recalled the moment in 2008 when an angry Iraqi journalist hurled a shoe at then-U.S. President George Bush during a press conference in Baghdad.
The surprisingly nimble Mr Bush ducked the shoe – and the moment became immortalized with online parodies and internet video games.
But the incident was also marked with controversy as U.S. media questioned why the Secret Service – whose members are supposed to be willing to take a bullet for the President – were not close enough to Mr Bush to deflect the attack.
It is expected that the same questions will be asked about yesterday’s incident.
It came as Mr Obama tried to rally voters in Phildelphia to use to three weeks left before congressional elections to go to the polls.

You don’t need to. Fortunately we have a group of brave individuals called Secret Service officers who have agreed to do that, to protect democracy from those who would destroy it through violence. And four Secret Service officers actually HAVE taken bullets for the President; one actually died in an assassination attempt against President Truman. These men are heroes — in fact anyone who puts his life on the line in order to protect our life and liberty is a hero.

Did you notice that Obama didn’t even move, he didn’t get to show his female athletic ‘abilities’ in dodging the book? He was too busy looking at his idiot board, aka teleprompter, to see the book!
Even the Secret Service is getting sick of the President. This should be filed along with the stories about the Presidential Seal falling off of the the podium and the teleprompter falling down.

Charlie Hall, do you know who a real hero is? A real hero is a person who doesn’t start making distinctions between who’s life is worth saving. The secret servicemen’s job is to protect the President, but a HERO is one who would just as soon puts his life on the line to save the life of a janitor.
To #5 Milvado: You are one hundred percent correct. If you don’t like Obama’s leadership then anihilate him via the ballot box during the next election. To actually wish him to be asassinated is definitely not what Jews are taught. The people who protect the president, whomever he/she is are definitely heroes.
