[Click on images to ENLARGE photos of last summers search.] A glimmer of hope was shattered today, when a body was found in Toronto near King’s Landing at the North Bay Waterfront. The North Bay Police quickly confirmed that it was not the body of Eli Horowitz who went missing last summer while on a fishing trip with his father-in-law in Lake Nipissing. (Original story reported HERE on YW)
Eli Horowitz, 30, and his father-in-law, Heine Mondrowitz Z”L , went missing on Aug. 21 after renting a boat for a fishing trip. Their boat was found empty two hours later, with no sign of them.
The body of Heine Mondrowitz Z”L was found a few days later on the shore (reported HERE on YW).
Massive search and rescue crews scoured the area for weeks by air, land & sea, but no trace of the body of Eli Horowitz was ever found.
Yeshivaworld was recently informed by Rabbi Isaac Leider of Chesed Shel Emmes that recovery efforts are going to resume in the next few weeks.
Please continue to be Mispallel for Avrohom Elimelech ben Devorah.–YW Editor

Our hearts go out to the Mrs. Horowitz and the kids. We are close friends of the Horowitz’s, and knew Heine as well.
May Heine be a meylitz yosher for his whole family. May they find Eli Horowitz’s body with the help of hashem yisborach.
