Authorities on Thursday brought New Jersey resident Eric Hunt to San Francisco on charges he attacked Eli Wiesel at a San Francisco hotel in February. He was expected to arrive Thursday night and appear in court today.
Hunt, a Holocaust denier, allegedly told Wiesel he wanted to interview him, took him into an elevator and then grabbed him and tried to drag him into a guest room at the hotel, was arrested three weeks later after bragging about the assault on a Web site.
Hunt faces kidnapping, false imprisonment, battery, elder abuse, stalking and hate crime charges in San Francisco.
