The Rabbinical Council of Victoria (RCV) has asked Orthodox Shuls to institute regular Tefillos for rain in the drought-ravaged south-east of Australia. At its regular meeting last Wednesday, the RCV asked each rabbi to dedicate part of their weekly Drasha to the drought issue and recite a Tefillilah for rain this Shabbos (Behar-Bechukosai).
The Tefilllos may already be having some effect, with a welcome spate of showers over the past few weeks, and some strong rain too.

Very interesting to read this by Bechukosai. May Hashem bless the communities there with Vinasati Gishmeichem BiEetam, and kol tuv.
