The French hate themselves even more than everyone does. 44% of French people think ill of themselves according to a poll by the International Herald Tribune and France 24 TV. 38% of Americans polled had a negative view of them, as did 33% of Brits, 29% of Spaniards, 25% of Italians and 14% of Germans. Ani tsafartit. I love my French heritage, and most French citizens I am sure would agree. However, the current France is not the France of “the golden era of cafe’s and wine/cheese, but one of instability and uncertainty. Surprise only 14% of the Germans….oh how 60 years ago is so easy to forget for the Germans.
