The storm which ravaged the northeast last week was a disaster for Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties. President Bush yesterday signed a disaster declaration for the three counties. The declaration clears the way for federal aid to to flow to local homeowners, businesses and governments.

Hillary got her wish. She said something to the effect of people will say that Westchester is affluent and doesn’t need federal help, but they do.
