A Navy Blue Angel jet crashed during an air show at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in Beaufort, S.C., this afternoon. Blue Angel No. 6, crashed and killed it’s pilot, as the team was setting up for its final maneuver. (This AP image was taken minutes before the crash)
This is the 2nd air “show ” that has produced a death in the last few weeks. What is the point of the show if it has such an inherent risk associated with it?
I don’t think the odds are that high at all for a pilot to do an air show, though, as with anything, the greater the feat the greater the risk.
By the way, it’s “killed its pilot”, not “killed it’s pilot”.

It is not worth it.
