London – A recruitment drive is taking place in Golders Green today to encourage more Jewish people to sign up to the police force.
The Metropolitan Police Service recruitment bus will be outside 146 Golders Green Road from 10am until 8pm to speak to anyone who has considered volunteering for the police.
The Jewish Police Association (JPA) is giving residents an opportunity to find out more about how to get involved as well as meet police officers, special constables and members of police staff.
Organizers said those on hand will be able to explain what life is like for Jewish people in the MPS and to answers questions on how to apply to become a special constable.
Mat Shear, chairman of the JPA, said “There are not enough Jewish people in the MPS.
“This is a chance to find out that the police service is an understanding employer.”
For more information, contact PC Danny Phillips, secretary of the JPA, on 07770 492782 or visit www.metpolicecareers.co.uk/specials for details of how to become a volunteer police officer.

This is wonderful.
This sounds like an excellent opportunity for Jews in a country that has many antisemites.
The more Jews in positions like this the less power the antisemites will have to cause trouble and further if the Jews are honest and do the job with integrity as I am sure G-d willing, they will, it will be a kiddush H-sh-m also.
