Koch Regrets Backing Obama ‘A Little Bit’

Former Mayor Ed Koch said this morning that the Obama administration’s hard-line stance on Israel has caused him to regret “a little bit” his support for the Democratic president.

“I’m not off the bus yet,” Koch told The Post’s Fred Dicker on WGDJ 1300-AM. “But I do regret the fact that he sent me down to Florida to talk to the Jews to vote for him. I think I did it successfully. He told me I did and then he sought to betray the state of Israel in my judgment.”

The former mayor blasted the commander-in-chief in a bitter op-ed last month, in which Koch said he was “weeping” over the administration’s criticism of Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem.

“He’s backed off of that now and I take him at his word,” Koch said today. “But I do feel somewhat disquieted.”

  1. Koch is a typical Jewish lost soul, a man whose Liberalism is more central to his life than his Judaism, a man of twisted values.

However, even this poor, lost Jew is able to see past his Libealism and notice the “Elephant in the Room.”–The U.S., under Obama is tilting its policy away from the Jews in Israel, towards the oil-rich sheikdoms of the Middle East.

If not for our Bitachon on HaShem, we would, indeed, have very many reasons to despair.

  2. Mr. Maya, you are a fool! You had no business convincing Jews to vote for him. Did you forget your former rival, David Dinkins?

  3. I beg to differ with Sister (#3), Dinkins was just an incompetent Mayor. If I remember correctly besides the riots he got along with the Jews. Obama is far more dangerous.

  4. #4 Unfortunately for us, Dinkins was worse then simply incompetent.

Right after (or before?) the election Dinkins was ona podium with Jessie “hymietown” Jackson on one side and Louis Farrahkan (we know what he said about Jews)on the other side.

Dinkins between two well known antisemites could not simply be a coincidence.

Also remember how he told the police during the Crown Heights riots to “let them vent” which they were allowed to do, for 3 days.
